The Door God opens!
Thursday, May 21, 2009 3:50 AM I was reading the devotions for today, which entiltled 'The door he opens'. Something that struck me was that the fact that Nehemiah is just like anyone of us! He was afraid of asking the King what God has placed into his heart. Isn't that the same as us? haha. Sometimes god prompts us to do somethings, but still we are afraid! Something that happen to me today was very applicable to this topic. Today during my project group consultation, I had one friend who was feeling very vexed and overwhelmed by the amount of things that he need to do for the report, which is due NEXT WEEK! But at the same time, I was very pissed at him! I was 'amazed' at the amount of things that he didnt do properly! I was irritated by the amount of information that was missing from his notes. Man... i was really pissed off. But guess what? God was telling me to cool down... and also... to PRAY for HIM! I was like... man... god... not now can?!?!?!?!?! ARGH!!!! as you have known, God is a persistent God! He keep nudging me throughout the discussion and even when we were walking towards the bus stop. But honestly there was NO appropriate setting for me to pray for him. But i knew i have got to do it! OR else god will make sure i cant sleep lor! haha. So what i did was... I smsed my prayers for him!!!! Heeee... Yeah i really did! but i was really afraid as he was a buddist, and he have NEVER come to church before! so i dun know open he is to christain things! Yet... i still took the risk and smsed him! Minuntes later, he replied. And becos of his reply, i was glad that i took courage, obeyed god and sms him my prayers! "Of cos i would not mind at all. really thanks a lot of the prayer. =D Really appreciate that!" man.. i would trade anything to see non-believers around me coming 1 step... (JUST 1 step!!!)... closer to Jesus!!!!! I believe he was touched by the sms and by god himself. So i am praying thta e will come for this sat poly's ESS! =D |
