Caregroup June 9 2009
Tuesday, June 9, 2009 11:22 PM “It was memorable” – Jemson (our beloved new addition) I am certain none of those who were in Caregroup today will ever forget the experience we had back in Pasir Ris Park. I too, had memories stained on my mind. I was late for Caregroup today, sadly. Missed out all the fun they had disturbing Yi Hao I guess. When I arrived, many were gathered near the ‘web’ sitting down on the rubber floor, being entertained by people whoever was down on the ‘sand stage’ (obviously it was Yi Hao…again). Then Alfred did a stun – squeezing through the small square hole. I tried…and my big butt got stuck. We moved on to the ‘web’. Everyone climbed, except Yi Hao. He was reluctant. He knew that we would disturb him. Only after much persuasion that it was too dangerous for us to play, he relented. Obviously, as if we guys were so merciful to let him off. We disturbed him of course, details not to be disclosed. Soon, Yi Hao, him again, got hungry and wants to eat. Don’t you guys realize he is always the one initiating to eat? Here comes the picnic part. Mat opened, food positioned, people sat and ready to dig in!! Foods that were present include hotdogs, ham, bread, egg, lettuce, chips and crackers. Thank God for Yi Hao and Vylan in particular for preparing the food!! And thank God for Alfon and Yi Hao for stacking our sandwiches for us. Mandon was weird, he actually took the chips and sandwich it. tsk tsk tsk…. His shepherd must have been feeding him with weird food. Oops…. Chit chat chit chat, people started to get restless. At least they proved themselves to be boys, they can’t seat still for long, their butts just have to get off the ground and move around. They needed something more active than just mouth exercising, something wild. We climbed the coconut tree and pulled down the coconut, four of it. Then, we used Alfon’s broken scissors to cut off the first layer, and penetrate through the husk, creating a hole for the coconut juice to flow out. The best part is, we savored it. After finish drinking, we even broke it open by smashing it onto the rocky platform, then, Prana Alfred and I tried the flesh. Nice. Others were not so courageous to take on the challenge. ‘Peh hor’… Well, that was unquestionably wild and an experience that we Singaporeans could rarely gain. Ultimately, I believe everyone enjoyed the Caregroup and a memorable one indeed. Thanks to all who were present, you all are part of the memory. Let’s all continue to create more memorable Caregroups in which we all can reminisce in the future. Love, Winstar |
