Thursday, June 18, 2009 11:16 PM Today was the East District Training Day, enjoyed it loads. The whole event was planned out very well, though I know it was pretty last minute. The whole thing was only finalized the day before. And, I was only informed about being a game master the first thing I woke up in the morning. However, everything still flowed smoothly and I guess the objectives were met, people were trained. Being the game master was honestly easy, compared to the others. All I needed to do was to be there earlier, be briefed about the thing I need to do, help out abit here and there, and give the teams instructions on what to do during the station games. That was totally slack. But thank God for that, I do not have to suffer the torturous 200 pushups and 200 jumping jets. Muahahaha. And I seriously salute all those who did that. They really persevered and endured all the pain. Sherman is one that I have to give my highest respect to. Though his palm skin has already peeled and it hurts really really bad, he did not give up but persevered to end. Three cheers to him man. He deserves the most persevering award. The war game was really fun too. I love war games. How I wish I am in the ancient times when people fight war with weapons, so fun. I love the strategic planning and whacking ahead kind of feeling. CHIONG AR!!! I can feel the adrenaline gushing in my body when I run forward and digging my way through the defense and hitting down their stronghold. Man, all man should love this kind of thing man. Then after the war games, Dennis talked about this whole training class and how each station represent it characteristics of every servant of God should have which was taught in the church camp. He brought it across to in a way that links back to our lives. How we should keep enduring the hardship of persecution, strength to carry on, and courage to evangelize. I pray that everyone will really grow in these characteristics and be a powerful servant of God. After the whole has ended, was the beginning of another war, a war between every single individual who was still around. It was time for some water splashing fun. Everyone began to gather water and pour on one another. The whole place was in chaos. People refilled water from the sea, imagine how unlimited the resource was. Until a point when some got tired of transporting the water, they just went to the beach and pushed one another down. No one left the place dry, those who were still around. And for some, they are the ones who are always being targeted at. Though already all drenched, people still love to pour water on them. Reason? – their expressions and reactions are priceless. Not forgetting the photo taking session. I love taking photos with people. I consider myself abit of a sentimental person who likes to keep this kind of photos for memory sake. At the end of the day, we all left the place physically drained, I was. But one thing for sure was that I enjoyed the fellowship and time spent together with others. And the most important thing of all is that we have all played enough. It is time for some work to be done, schools to be won, people to outreached, and our service to God. |
